Helena Romanes School in Dunmow welcomed headteachers from its feeder primary schools to reunite with Year 7 pupils who left them last summer.
Headteacher Catherine Davis took the primary heads on a tour of the school, before the Year 7s joined them in the school's Learning Zone for coffee, juice and a chat.
The Year 7s told their former headteachers about their life at Helena Romanes, including what clubs and activities they are involved with and how they found the transition from primary to secondary school.

Clare Charter, headteacher of Dunmow St Mary's Primary School, said: "It was lovely to see some of our ex pupils again and to hear them talking so confidently and articulately about their experiences in Year 7."
