Takeley Community Café has received an 'extra mile' award for its work supporting blind and partially sighted people.
Support 4 Sight awards the certificate each quarter to show appreciation for businesses who go "above and beyond" to help customers with visual impairments in mid and west Essex.
These extras can make the difference between someone venturing out or staying at home.

The community café provides a free, accessible space at the Takeley Old School Community Hub, where Support 4 Sight holds a coffee morning from 10.30am to midday on the last Friday of each month.
Residents are invited to come along to share tips and ideas, and see the range of assistive equipment available to help with living with sight loss.
