Pupils, staff and parents at Howe Green House School were treated to an afternoon of song earlier this week.

On Tuesday, May 16, both the parent and pupil choirs delivered a concert featuring sea shanties, Ghanaian folk songs and hits from the stage and screen.

A school spokesperson said: "There were also some wonderful solo performances and even a bit of audience participation!"

Earlier in May, everyone at Howe Green House gathered to celebrate the King's coronation with an outdoor picnic in the school's grounds.

After a traditional afternoon tea, the whole school community stood to sing the national anthem.

A spokesperson said: "Even the weather was kind and the predicted thunderstorms patriotically stayed away until later in the day!"
