PAULINE Potter's gusset is her guiding light, the epicentre that determines the way she moves and feels.

Gusset is a semi-biographical comedy takes the audience down a winding path of emotion, of sex, mood swings and chocolate - proving that anything in life is possible!

She has worked in the factory for twenty years as a 'Floater' and that by definition means she floats from one job to another. Pauline feels trapped and is desperate to get out, she is learning to be a writer at night school and with her new book 'Gusset Path to Life' anything is possible.

Elaine Pantling spent more than 20 years working as a cutter in a hosiery factory - mainly in pants.

It is these experiences and a two-week residency at a knicker factory in Leicester that she has used to pen this one-woman comedy.

Elaine left the factory to study for a degree in performing arts at De Montfort University, Leicester and graduated in 1999 to set up her own theatre company called Laurielorry.

Gusset first came to life in the year 2000 and has been wowing audiences ever since.

The performance takes place at the Cramphorn Theatre in Chelmsford on Friday June 12 at 8pm.
