DUNMOW residents are voting at the polls today to decide who will represent their needs on Essex County Council.
So far the numbers seem to be low, but polling organisers are expecting a rush between 3pm and 6pm when workers finish their day and mums and dads pick up their children from school.
One voter came out of the Foakes Hall polling station on Stortford Road and said: "It seems very quiet at the moment, but I am sure everyone will have their say by the end of the day.
"I do not usually make the time to vote, but with all the anger around the expenses of MPs I think it is important to have my say at every level of government."
Residents can also go and vote at the Dourdan Pavilion on The Causeway all day today.
The official count begins on Friday morning at 8.45am with a result expected sometime around midday.
