A shower that broke a Guinness World Record for the largest number of people ever known to shower together is coming to Chelmsford for the V Festival this weekend.
As temperatures soared in Bournemouth last weekend, 152 people lathered up under the huge six-metre structure to beat the previous record of 145, set in the USA.
Anna Orford, official adjudicator for Guinness World Records, said: “The people of Bournemouth have to be applauded for getting into the spirit of the day and taking a shower together.
“Their reward is a new Guinness World Record for the most people showering simultaneously at the same venue. Congratulations to everyone involved.”
The record-breaking shower now comes to The Village area of V Festival, in Hylands Park, where DJs will be creating a real party atmosphere and encouraging the festival’s revellers to cool off underneath the huge structure.
