IT took just over an hour for fire services to clean up a three car accident on the motorway.
Fire crews were called to the incident between junctions eight and nine at 1.20pm on October 24 to find the cars on and off the road.
Two of the cars involved were still on the road and the third had left the road and hit a tree.
The fire crews quickly got to work using specialist cutting equipment to free a woman who was trapped in her car – she was then placed in the care of the ambulance service.
The incident had been dealt with by 2.15pm meaning traffic could return to normal.
