RYANAIR has diverted all flights into Libya amidst the growing “military action” within the country.

The airline, today (March 21), advised that all Trapani flights will switch to/from Palermo Airport until at least Monday March 28 after Trapani Airport was closed to civilian air traffic due to the ongoing military action in Libya.

Ryanair passengers affected by these unavoidable flight changes have been contacted by Ryanair and requested to report to Palermo Airport for their flights.

Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said: “Ryanair apologises to passengers for any inconvenience caused by the Italian Air Force’s decision to close Trapani Airport to civilian aircraft. Passengers booked to travel to/from Trapani until at least the 28th March should report to Palermo Airport for their flights.

“Ryanair has contacted all affected passengers by email and SMS to inform them of their flight change, which is outside of our control.”
