POLICE are looking to identify a man who is thought to have vandalised three cars in Takeley, causing in excess of �500 worth of damage.
Officers were contacted by the owners shortly before 9am on Saturday (Dec 10) who were reporting their vehicles, a Nissan, a Honda and a Mazda, had all been damaged during the night while parked on driveways near Uttlesford District Council offices.
Investigating officer, Sgt Colin Cox, said: “We will be examining CCTV in order to hopefully identify this individual. House-to-house enquiries and crime prevention advice was handed out to residents on Saturday evening.”
The vandal, who is described as wearing a grey tracksuit and was holding a metal pole, was seen running off towards North Road at 3am earlier that morning (Saturday).
Anyone with information in connection with these acts of criminal damage is urged to contact investigating officers at Saffron Walden police station on 101.
