AN award-winning author paid a visit to Takeley Primary School as part of the Essex Book Festival.
Philip Ardagh, a winner of the Roald Dahl children’s prize for humour writing, dropped by to deliver a humorous presentation to an audience of more than 300 children.
Pupils from St Mary’s, Dunmow, Felsted, Rodings and Great Easton all attended the talk, which was hosted by Takeley Primary School.
He then signed copies of his book, The Grunts in Trouble, for the children.
A spokesman for the school said: “The children were entertained by a hilarious presentation by this award winning author which the children and staff thoroughly enjoyed.”
