SCIENCE'S relationship with religion will be discussed at a forum in St Mary's Church, Saffron Walden, at 8pm on Thursday January 26.
The Rev Dr John Polkinghorne will be the speaker and will argue that rather than being in conflict as they are often perceived, science and religion complement one another.
The Rev Dr Polkinghorne worked for 25 years in theoretical elementary particle physics and held a chair at Cambridge University from 1968 to 1979.
He then became ordained as an Anglican priest and spent five years in parish ministry, before returning to Cambridge, where he was the president of Queen's College for seven years.
