A CHURCH run coffee shop with volunteer tea ladies has managed to raise more than £200 since February.
The coffee shop at the United Reformed Church on New Street in Great Dunmow has been running a stop by coffee shop and inviting people to rest their feet on a Friday or Saturday morning all in aid of the church fund.
One of the volunteer tea ladies, Margaret Watson, said the shop had been a real success. "Since we started we have had lots of people drop by and now have quite a few regulars," she said.
The coffee shop hopes to continue operating its successful mornings and maybe extend its hours to include market day.
Mrs Watson said: "At the moment we are open from 10am until 12 noon, but you never know in the future."
Pop in for cakes, tea, coffee and scones and support the church fund.
