I READ with much interest the plans for the old water mill, in particular, the comments by Cllr Richard Harris who said during the development control sub- committee that the water source that powered the mill no longer exists.
In fact, if he were to take the trouble to look around, he would see at the end of the field there are sluice gates which divert the water wither to the mill or left to the river.
These were left open some 20 years ago allowing the water to fork left into the river, this could be rectified by closing the gate and once again down towards the mill.
