FOLLOWING your story on the Stebbing Village Shop some weeks ago, the village residents now find themselves unable to even purchase a daily newspaper from the shop. Stock is at an all time low, the current owner doesn't seem to care.
After the last report with the 'use it or lose it' theme, I carried on using it as I have done for the last 10 years, but it looks as though we are going to lose it anyway.
The ladies who work in the shop are embarrassed. I don't know why they stay when they have hardly any stock to sell. I could probably fit the stock content of the shop into the boot of my car.
Will the new owner please save our shop soon?
