I WRITE in regard to Mr Luckins letter last week. Myself, my parents and my grandparents have all lived in Great Dunmow
and have seen the changes over the years.
But surely the blame lies at our own feet for not using the shops we once had. I own O'Connells Variety in the town and we try hard to stock a large mix of items from nails to shopping trolleys, and that is including 13 amp plugs.
I agree that many of our practical shops, i.e. traders have now closed, but if we as a community do not use the ones that are left, 'the real Dunmow' will be a thing of the past.
