He concedes the point that accidents are indeed caused, albeit that the insecure may try and pass the buck in blaming the one and only true God, or his Agents; nice to have an escape clause.

As for stupid mountaineers, who may, in their exuberance, trip or stumble over the odd rock, having inadvertently failed to bang their piton into a firm foundation; well, we all know who's to blame for that!

Yet, it is still fun to take a chance now and then.
