DOES Great Dunmow have a transport plan/strategy? The past 10 years has seen an unprecedented growth in housing in this area, which appears set to continue by government policy.
However there is insufficient transport infrastructure to support local residents who are forced to travel to neighbouring Stansted/ Bishop's Stortford/Braintree to achieve rail connections to London.
This is difficult and many people subsequently commute by vehicle, with its own issues. When will it be recognised that Great Dunmow's rail link needs to be re-established as a priority?
Have we moved forward since 1952, when it shut to passengers?
