I WOULD like to bring to you and your readers attention how well our postman have done this Christmas.
On Monday December 18 I went into Dunmow Post Office to buy 40 second class stamps to post my Christmas cards, only to be vehemently told by the counter assistant, 'its too late'
I enquired too late for what? The reply was it won't get there for Christmas, Saturday was last posting date for second class! an embarrassed gentleman in the queue said its ok love its the thought that counts. I still decided to purchase the stamps and also post a letter to myself with a second class stamp on it to see just how long it took.
On arriving home the next day there were two first class stamped envelopes and my second class one the latest one to be posted was my second class envelope and it arrived within 12hours of posting. So well done posties and there are lessons to be learnt there from counter staff!!
