WE HAVE road signs in Polish, and now they want Polish speaking policemen. I m sure it would help our police force to have colleagues who can speak Polish, but why aren t we teaching these Polish immigrants to speak English? If we give in to this problem

If we give in to this problem, we can look forward to having to introduce many other languages. In May, the Thames Valley Police control rooms received calls from 41 different languages, so are we looking at policemen having to learn 41 different languages? I feel sorry for our policemen.
Lloyds TSB obviously don't, they have opened their first Polish speaking branch in Manchester.
