Having already phoned in and complained I feel I must write to you to put right a grave injustice that has been written about the late Alec Saunders in your letters page on October 4.
For someone who did not know Alec, to suggest that he may have taken his own life is preposterous.
He loved life, enjoyed it to the full and made himself part of the area that he lived in being involved in every aspect of it.
Indeed on the day that he died he was going to celebrate at a dance in aid of Wethersfield Pre-School, but alas never made it, for to be sure he would have imprinted his own brand of enjoyment on it and everybody attending.
Alec Saunders will not be forgotten, all his friends look forward to an apology being penned by this obviously very sad person who wrote the offensive letter.
Additionally for your paper to head the article Village Event was wrong as well, A Village Tragedy, yes it most certainly was.
