I HAVE just read your article in today's Broadcast (June 26) all about the catastrophe with our freezer.
It is very important that all your readers and Tesco's know that the arts centre is a non-profit making organisation and is not a profit making business.
When I went to Tesco's, at no time did they tell me that as we are not a registered charity they would not help us, but said "You can claim on insurance" as their only comment.
As a community centre we rely on volunteers and community help. It seems very strange that a big company such as Tesco's could not help us, whereby the Co-op were fantastic.
