I READ with interest the item in a recent Broadcast on the new cinema which will operate from the United Reformed Church in New Street, Dunmow.
I used to go to the Kinema as a child and saw a number of notable firms.
As a small child I saw Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. The wicked witch frightened me so much I hid under the seat. That earned me a good scolding from my sister who had taken me.
I also remember being allowed to go with some of my friends aged 10 or so to see Summer Holiday in the early sixties, which was a wonderful experience.
I for one was sad to see the Kinema close and it is good to think that Dunmow will have a cinema once more.
