AS A fairly new resident in Great Dunmow, and with two small girls, I was delighted to find such beautiful woodland as that around The Dunmow Cutting.
The bluebells at this time of year are fabulous and to spend time playing in the woods reminds me of my youth in Sherwood Forest.
I am, however, horrified at the rubbish which is everywhere, and when the girls are playing, I am terrified they will land on broken glass.
Yes, my family and I have spent time picking up some rubbish to bring it home and put it in my over-crammed bin.
But the scale of it needs more. Who owns the land? Why, when the Flitch Way is maintained, do the woodland areas get left?
I am happy to organise a pick up litter day, who out there is interested to help?
Please let me know and let's do something to be proud of, for all of us.
Come on Broadcast, let's get something sorted!
