RESPONDING to Alan Green letter from Finchingfield - Campaigners Have Themselves to Blame.
Thank you Alan for your sympathy, but you were fundamentally wrong on many accounts with your letter about our blockade of the Oakwood Park estate.
The whole development has a master plan with a legal agreement between the local council and the land owners, it is called a Section 106 Agreement.
Personally I and I'm sure the vast majority of the 'gullible' residents would not have spent hundreds of thousands of pounds on their new house if not for that agreement, stating that there will be open playing fields, a primary school, doctor's surgery, pub, shops and community hall.
Everything in fact I'm sure you would agree to start a new variable community.
That was the point of the protest, to remind the council and builders to stick to this agreement.
I am sure Finchingfield was once just a bunch of houses in a field, all be it a long time ago.
