WITH reference to the stories of youths vandalising the town centre you have carried in your newspaper, planners and developers have to look at these social problems and take them into consideration when planning future housing in and around Dunmow.

A drive around Woodlands Park quickly shows how little provision has been made for social space where people can mix and play.

I ask: Can we really put all of the blame on these youngsters when there is so little for them to do in the town? With no train station and limited bus routes, Dunmow must sometimes feel like a desert island they are stranded upon.
