Clear up our town
A RECENT letter from Elaine Roberts highlighted the problem of litter in the town. It is, of course, up to us as individuals not to drop litter and to tidy up any that we see. The Dunmow Society campaigns for a reduction in litter and supports any effort
A RECENT letter from Elaine Roberts highlighted the problem of litter in the town. It is, of course, up to us as individuals not to drop litter and to tidy up any that we see.
The Dunmow Society campaigns for a reduction in litter and supports any efforts to reduce the problem.
We support the initiative for a plastic bag free town (there will be a public meeting on January 21 at 7.30pm at the Foakes Hall).
Members participate in the litter days organised twice-yearly by Dunmow Town Council.
The next litter day is on Saturday March 1 at 9am at the Foakes Hall. For further details please contact the council on 01371 872406.
Should you wish to join the society in campaigning for a better town please call me on 873859.
