MY NAME is Barry Bisset-Smith and I am a fire-fighter in Great Dunmow.
On Saturday June 23 we did a bucket collection outside Tesco in Dunmow and were absolutely delighted to receive donations totalling £854.
The donations will go to our charity and will be divided between the Fire Service National Benevolent Fund and the Burned Children's Club.
Our website www.dunmowgowest.co.uk has further details of the charities we are raising funds for and details of the 217-mile canoe trip we are undertaking in July this year.
I would like to take this opportunity to give a mention for our charity car wash, that is taking place at Great Dunmow Fire Station, Stortford Road, Great Dunmow.
It will take place on July 14 from 10am-4pm and the money raised will go to the same causes as I have already mentioned.
