IT WAS the perfect English summer evening as I drove home from work through the idyllic countryside. But as I turned the corner the sun glinted off of rows of wheelie bins left at the roadside signalling that the owners were out all day so they could visit that time in the future.
I would like to congratulate the person responsible for ruining our countryside with these awful wheelie bins and probable increase in burglaries.
If my insurance premium goes up because of this I will pursue Uttlesford District Council for the cost of the increase and any rise in council tax for extra policing to combat the crime caused by them. The implications are obvious and disturbing.
