The 2008 Poppy Appeal in the Dunmow district has raised £10,317 from house-to-house, street and static point collections.
I would like to thank everyone who contributed so generously to the appeal.
Thanks also to the collectors who worked tirelessly and to Tesco for allowing our collectors to be there every day for over a week, during which time £3419 was collected.
The Co-Op store also welcomed collectors and in a comparatively short space of time, £244 was collected.
To everyone who made this appeal so successful and helping us to beat last year's total by over £50, thank you.
Margaret Cole, Poppy Appeal Organiser, Dunmow Branch of the Royal British Legion
