I AM an advocate of recycling and was one of the few Felsted residents to be pro the wheelie bin scheme from the outset. On this note, I have received this morning a copy of the aforementioned newsheet.

Under the heading 'It is not just about recycling' it tells us to remember the three Rs of recycling - reduce, reuse and recycle! I quote: 'look for products with less packaging'printing or copying on both sides halves the amount of paper used. However, in their infinite wisdom they have posted individually to my address as well as, I would imagine, all residents within the Uttlesford area, this very newsheet packaged in plastic with an A4 sheet of titled paper containing only my address in the middle of one side!

Please in future would you reduce, reuse and recycle for all of our sakes! Perhaps they could employ someone to push this through letterboxes with a weekly paper. In fact, the information contained within this newsheet could have been printed on just one sheet of A4. Just a thought and some useful environmentally friendly advice for you for the future!
