IN HIS letter last week, Alan Dean spoke of people being put off politics.

I am 22 and certainly felt pretty disillusioned after I read his contribution. Mr Dean and a few of his Lib Dem councillor colleagues seem to rant and rave every week in the letter pages of your and other papers about the evils of their political opponents whilst smugly patting themselves on the back.

That kind of yaboo politics is dated and very tedious.

I mentioned 'a few' because it is my understanding there are 27 Lib Dem councillors. We only ever hear from the same small gang, maybe the others are gagged or simply as bored as the rest of us with the whole performance.

The 'gang' are now asking for four more years.

It makes your eyes water. Especially after reading the utter propaganda from Mark Gayler in "Question Time" where he painted the picture that everything was amazing and great and anything bad was due to Essex County Council. Things like that make you lose faith in politics.
