I am writing to express my most grateful thanks to the very many people who so ably assisted in arranging the charity football match on Saturday, July 15.

There are far too many names to mention them all, but I am certain that those persons who read this will know whom I mean.

Our main organiser, Peter Toms, ably assisted by his wife, and very many others worked very hard both before and afterwards ensuring that everything was tidied up.

Further events to assist our local community are planned and these will be announced nearer the dates.

Cllr Frank Silver,

Mayor of Great Dunmow
