REGARDING the letter in the Postbag on May 10 entitled 'Park Respect' we too live in Baynard Avenue and have sight of the new play area and have, over a number of years, tried to deal with the minority of youths who hang around the area generally causing problems.

Both my husband and I have been out to ask this group of youths to tone down their behaviour because of the nuisance and noise it causes.

We have also suffered abuse, mooning and damage to our property and believe that it is about time parents took responsibility for these individuals.

Unfortunately this minority are giving the area a bad name and intimidating other children living on the estate.

The police have been called out many times and have spoken to parents of many of the youths involved, only for them to be back causing problems the same week.

Please parents can you ensure your teenagers are not party to this nuisance.
