CHRISTOPHER Sewell (Postbag November 9) seems to have a problem understanding the excellent job creation that is taking place at Stansted Airport.

The new security guards being employed are to deal with Government imposed security restrictions. I understand the recruitment process takes time due to training requirements and security checks.

Would-be guards are coming from Stortford, Braintree, Harlow, Witham and other towns and villages across Essex. That all sounds perfectly reasonable to me.

It seems Mr Sewell's real problem is a fear that some of those applying for the positions may not be of Anglo-Saxon stock? He refers to Poland and workers from "further afield".

We don't need any lessons on economics and job creation from such a narrow-minded person who has his own agenda at play.
