Rachael Clark, Chair of Great Dunmow Town Team, told the Broadcast: “Whilst their doors remain closed, the businesses on our high street are working together to stay proactive and positive.

“This week many have decorated their windows to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day.

“Some have described this strange and uncertain time as being like a wartime Britain, so it is only right that we take this opportunity to remember and never forget the sacrifices people made then and are making today.

“On behalf of the Great Dunmow Town Team, we would like to say thank you to all the key workers in our town. We look forward to welcoming you all to our businesses once more when the time is right.”
