Expect superb musical solos by the orchestra and robust classical ballet performances by a troupe of accomplished dancers when Saint Petersburg Classical Ballet presents The Nutcracker and Swan Lake at Cambridge Corn Exchange this month.

The company promises to showcase a spectacular new version of The Nutcracker, with stunning baroque designs, along with the beautiful classic Swan Lake.

The Nutcracker is a delightfully festive tale, and the perfect introduction to ballet. This is the story of Clara’s magical adventure with her Nutcracker Prince, including a visit to the delicious Land of Sweets and the delightful Sugar Plum Fairy. It’s designed as a Christmas treat for all ages.

Saint Petersburg Classic Ballet under the direction of Marina Medvetskaya has been praised for its impressive technique, exquisite artistry and bold production of these best-loved Russian ballets.

The Nutcracker is on Friday, December 30 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm and Saturday, December 31 at 2.30pm.

Swan Lake is on Sunday, January 1 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm. Tickets are £35, £30 and £25 from 01223 357851 or tickets@cambridgelivetrust.co.uk or www.cornex.co.uk
