Children wondering how to give their parents a memorable day out for Father’s Day – on Sunday, June 15 – need look no further ... English Heritage will be hosting the ultimate day out for dads at its Classic Cars event at Audley End House & Gardens.

In an event that is suitable for all, a charming collection of classic cars will be on display, with the chance to discover what it takes to take care of a dream motor.

There will be something to keep the whole family entertained as they marvel at the eclectic range of shapes, sizes, and shimmering metal.

Some of the impressive vehicles on show will include a 1926 Morris (Oxford 3/4 Coupe), a 1970 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow Series 1 and a Jaguar Silverstone Convertible (No 11 of 50).

Rebecca Hornby, assistant events manager for English Heritage in the London and east region, said: “We are delighted to welcome the return of the Classic Cars event at Audley End House and Gardens, it always proves to be a popular day out for dads, families and car enthusiasts alike.

“With our spectacular surroundings it shows the vehicles off to their best and what’s more you can combine your visit with a wonder through the impressive grounds and discover the newly opened rooms of the house, before treating your nearest and dearest to lunch in our scrumptious cafe.”

Prices: Adult - £15.40; Concession - £13.90; Child - £9.20; Family - £40. (Member discounts apply)

Audley End is located off London Road, Saffron Walden, Essex, CB11 4JF and can be contacted on 01799 522842. To get there by car, take junction 8 or 10 off the M11; Audley End is one mile west of Saffron Walden on the B1383.
