PREPARE yourself for an evening of jazz at The Saffron Hotel on November 15 when two talented musicians visit the Saffron Walden High Street venue.

Pete Long and Georgina Jackson will be performing as part of the Saffron Hotel’s monthly Saffron Jazz night.

Long is a jazz saxophone and clarinet player based in London with an enviable CV. He has worked with them all, from Jools Holland to Dizzie Gillespie and The Stereophonics.

Jackson’s unique talents are well known and respected within the industry. She is acknowledged as the finest female lead trumpet player in the country and her skily, swinging vocals have been described as soundinf like a ‘very sexy Doris Day’.

The pair will be supported by Ted Beament (piano), Joe Pettit (bass) and Richard Pite (drums).
