The Greatest 80’s Party... Ever! on Saturday, August 2 and Last Night of the Audley End Proms on Sunday, August 3 have been lined up for the popular open-air gigs.

Kicking off the weekend of music, The Greatest 80s Party will star artists Tony Hadley, Midge Ure, Heaven 17, T’Pau, Katrina of Katrina and the Waves fame, John Parr and Johnny Hates Jazz.

It will be the perfect excuse to get out those shoulder pads, leotards and leg warmers, dress up and dance the night away to famous hits such as Gold, Vienna, Temptation, China in your hand, Walking on sunshine, St Elmo’s Fire, and Shattered Dreams.

Then, on the Sunday, a spectacular Last Night of the Proms concert stars Laura Wright, Camilla Kerslake, Gardar Thor Cortes and Amy Dickson – all accompanied by a stunning symphony orchestra. The evening will include a dramatic Grace Spitfire display and stunning fireworks.

Organisers Portal Events have confirmed that picnics will be allowed. The announcement comes hot of the heels of details of the Paul Weller concert on July 26 – when picnics or drinks are not permitted in the concert arena.

Tickets for the Greatest 80s Party... Ever night are £40 (£37 English Heritage members) if purchased by phone or online, or £36 (£33 for EH members) if purchased in person.
