Joanna’s Place - the place for jazz in Saffron Walden

The next Joanna’s Place jazz concert at Fairycroft House in Saffron Walden with singer/songwriter Joanna Eden will be on Saturday, October 14.

Joanna will sing with leading lights from the UK Latin scene Carlos Fuentes from Chile, Andres Lafone from Uruguay and Gerry Hunt from Hackney.

Joanna has sung with them across Europe, including supporting the Buena Vista Social Club and Omara Portuondo at Audley End and Kenwood House picnic concerts.

Sam Smith was her backing singer in those days.

The final concert this year is Jazz at the Movies on Saturday, December 2. Joanna’s Place was launched to a packed house in February and has since welcomed world-class musicians including long-time Jools Holland collaborator, saxophonist Derek Nash and leading UK Jazz singer Liane Carroll.
