Mama Mia - Here We Go Again (PG)

Even the title is inspired and this sequel 10 years on has received rave reviews. Critics have recommended seeing it more than once. Well that’s ok then, because it is showing at Saffron Screen in Saffron Walden seven times.

Starring Lily James, Amanda Seyfried, Meryl Streep, Julie Walters, Piece Brosnam, Colin Firth and Cher, what could there possibly be not to like? There is more Greek sunshine and plenty of Abba magic as Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) finds out more about her mother’s young life and her three potential dads.

Sophie is pregnant and wondering how she will cope. Struggling to run her mother’s villa, she finds out more about Donna’s past – how she started up the villa, met each of the dads and coped as a single mum. But the present day is full of surprises as Sophie’s grandmother (the one and only Cher) turns up uninvited. At 8pm on August 17, 18, 19 and 3pm on August 20 and 21, the last screening is subtitled. Tickets, www.saffronscreen.com or Tourist Information 01799 524002.
