Cooper specialises in creating films which combine oil-painted animation with live action.

A beautiful and tender film, Kiss the Water features her work and has been described by Jerry Seinfeld as “like dreaming and eating dessert at the same time”.

It was premiered at the Tribeca and Edinburgh Film Festivals and tells the unlikely story of a Scottish woman, Megan Boyd, who turned the creation of fishing flies into an art form. Employing a lyrical mix of interviews, meditative landscape photography and animation, Kiss the Water explores a remarkable woman’s utter dedication to the perfection of her craft.

The event will be a must-see for Uttlesford’s art loving community.

Kiss the Water will be screened at Saffron Screen on Monday, March 24 at 8pm. Tickets are available from the cinema box office, the Tourist Information Centre, or online at saffronscreen.com
