Wendens Ambo win on tour in Norfolk

Wendens Ambo went on tour last weekend to Norfolk to conclude a successful season and entered and won the Holt RFC festival.

They a variety of teams from up and down the country. Playing in pool 3, Wendens beat Chelmsford (4-1), Westcliffe (5-0), Nottingham (5-0) and Norwich (11-0).

They then moved into a round-robin play-off with the winners of each of the three pools. Up against Holt first in a very tough match, Wendens won 4-3, before going on to beat Chelmsford 6-0 to win the competition.

The tour was attended by Oliver Rae, Adam Albright, Henry Wiseman, Sam Scott-Priestley, Eddie Haxton, Charlie Underwood, Joseph Gaffan, Joe Quinn, Archie Morgan, Oliver Rogers and August Thompson Wild.

All players put in a series of massive performances and their playing style and approach were commented on by a number of the opposing team coaches who were very impressed by the Wenden performances.
