SAFFRON Seals travelled to Loughton Leisure Centre to host the third from four fixtures in the Essex Swim League.
Competition between the four clubs - Basildon & Phoenix, Chelmsford and Harwich - was tight and once again Seals’ swimmers competed well for each event.
The squad travelled without any 15-year-old boys and, as a result, the younger age groups had to swim races of unfamiliar distances and less favoured strokes.
However, some very good times were achieved, with 10 more personal best times to add to the record books:
11 & under
Butterfly 25m - Lauren McAuley, 18.54; Aaron MacDermott, 19.22
Freestyle 50m - Jack Stanton-Stock, 35.81
13 & under
Backstroke 50m - Isla Yarrow 42.40; John Boyle 37.01
Freestyle 50m - Anna Halsey, 35.47
15 & under
Breaststroke 100m - Lee Watts, 1.41.19
Freestyle 100m - Alice Rogers, 1.11.40
Open
Backstroke 100m - Ryan Woodcock, 1.12.09
Freestyle 100m - Tom Pitts, 1.01.47
The final league fixture is to be held on Saturday March 16 at Basildon Sporting Village.
