RECORDS tumbled at Sawston on Saturday when Ben Benson and Wes Potschul re-wrote club history.
Firstly the openers shared an unbroken stand of 317 in 45 overs – a run rate of over SEVEN an over!
Benson (184no) also broke the club record for the highest individual score, hitting 30 fours in the process. In comparison Portschul (114no) managed a mere 17 boundaries.
The battered opposition were then put to sword as they were bowled out for 127 with only Ahmed (41) and Morgan (25) making any progress against the keen Sawston attack. Off spinner Matt Bradford (3-43) and Joe Greenstock (3-18) were well supported by Tom Champness (2-22).
