Netball: Dunmow Crests return to winning form

Dunmow Crests A team returned to winning form this week, with a 21-19 victory against a strong Wilvale Falcons team.

Despite going behind in the first quarter, the Crests kept their nerve and pulled back to level the match by the end of the first half, due in part to consistent work by their shooters. With some excellent defence work from player of the match, Amanda Tyler, and passes kept short and precise to counter the poor weather conditions, the team put in a good performance to restore their winning ways.

Crests B team put up a strong fight against Essex Properties. The score was kept close over the first half, with some great defensive interceptions by Hannah Roberts Harland, and player of the match Marie Barr. Despite Essex pulling away in the second half to a 28-17 victory, Crests showed some great play in tricky weather.

Crests C team had an excellent 18-4 win against Wolves Black. A combination of strong shooting, plus timely interceptions to ensure they maintained possession led to a comfortable victory.
