Dunmow Rhodes Men's opened their account with their first win of the season against Harlow Frontiers.

With a reduced squad and under new management Rhodes put on an impressive display to dominate what was to be a hard-fought match.

A first half goal by Jamie Sanders put Rhodes into the lead, but this was cancelled out by a penalty shortly before half-time.

The team returned to the pitch with renewed vigour in the second half and the lead was restored after a strong individual goal from Karl Manning.

The third followed after a goal from a high looping clearance from keeper Ian Bentley.

Victory was sealed after a well worked and cleanly executed fourth goal courtesy of striker Carl Cooper.
