Barnston's poor form continued on Saturday when they slipped to a defeat at Runwell Hospital in the Essex Olympian League Division Two.

The visitors got off to a bad start as they gave away two early penalties with both being blasted past keeper Jon Eastaugh.

Barnston never recovered from this setback and as they tried to push forward to reduce the deficit, they were caught out on the break to allow the home side a third goal.

Barnston Reserves lost 4-1 to Newham United. Dan Murphy found the net for Barnston.

On Saturday, Barnston host Metpol Police, 2.30pm kick-off, while the reserves are away at Sandon Royals.
