Saffron Walden Town saw their hopes of rocketing into the promotion places of the Essex Senior League hit a speedbump at home to Romford.
They lost 1-0 to the second-placed side as the Bloods remain in 13th.
It was a tough result to take for the Catons Lane team as they had a man advantage for almost an hour, and finished the game against nine men as Romford had another man in the sin-bin.
However, they also gifted Romford the win thanks to an own goal from a Jamie Riley back pass that was missed by goalkeeper Jarvis Monk.
Takeley played out a 1-1 draw away to Woodford Town, Bobby John Bolden getting their goal, but Stansted had their Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division Cup clash at St Panteleimon postponed.
The U15 side of Saffron Walden Community Girls enjoyed a good 4-0 win over Sawston Green.
Played at their Herbert’s Farm home, they enjoyed a strong start to the first half but were denied by the visiting keeper.
They suffered a blow when Caitlin went off with a knee injury, replaced by Cully, but they bounced back to take the lead, Olivia feeding Mimi to cut in and shoot home from the edge of the box.
Continued pressure from the home team saw them double their lead.
It was a second too for Mimi, this time playing a one-two with Daisy before firing low into the corner.
The second half started with SWC on the front foot again.
A brilliant run and through ball from Phoebe allowed Daisy to go in and score her first for the club.
The final goal of the game came when a beautifully flighted free kick from the right touchline from Emma proved too tricky for the away defence to deal with and Daisy fired home her second goal.
Player of the Match went to Eliska for a typically committed and solid display at left back.

High Easter put in a great performance to advance from the second round of the Gordon Snell Memorial Trophy - beating Kavern 6-1 at home.
The Braintree & North Essex Sunday League side were in control from the very early going when an Alex Merrell cross slipped through the keeper's legs and allowed Jonathan Evans the simple finish.
Merrell scored himself from another cross, this one nestling in the net and they continued to create chances, although they were indebted to a brilliant save from Ryan Kirk to prevent Kavern from pulling one back.
He was unable to stop the away side from doing that just before the break, Brad Turner with the header, but High Easter regrouped at half-time and came out even stronger than they did in the first.
Evans repaid the complement with a neat pass for Merrell to score his second and it soon became 4-1 when good play by Mahen'a Kadimba found Jamie Coe in a good position to score.
George Paola wrapped things up with two composed finishes to send High Easter to an away game at Stisted in the next round.
