A young entrepreneur from Radwinter has launched his own business as a bespoke upholsterer after training since he left school.

Jed Butler, 20, who attended Saffron Walden County High School, has started Furniture By Jed and his new website went live this week.

After studying product design and business studies at A-level at County High, Jed decided that running his own business while still be able to work with his hands and be creative was the career path for him.

Since leaving school, Jed has trained in the art of upholstery, working on both antique and modern furniture, and has undertaken specialist restoration courses at Paragon Restorations in Thaxted.

Jed carries out all the work personally and offers a high level of craftsmanship and customer service.
